Free skin cancer screenings will once again be held at a variety of Rhode Island beaches this summer. The screenings are part of the “SunSmarts” campaign, which is co-sponsored by Rhode Island Senator Jack Reed, the Rhode Island Department of Health and the Partnership to Reduce Cancer in Rhode Island.
The screenings will be held on a first-come, first-served basis, and blood work will not be required. The next scheduled screening will take place at Easton’s Beach in Newport on Friday, July 14th from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. Screenings will last approximately 15 minutes.
